Information We Collect
Because Predict.info is a blockchain-native platform, we do not collect traditional account credentials such as email addresses or passwords. Access is granted through cryptographic wallet authentication. The information we collect falls into the following categories.
Wallet and On-Chain Data
When you connect your wallet, we record your public wallet address. This is a publicly available identifier on the blockchain and is not considered private under most data protection frameworks. We associate your wallet address with your activity on the Platform, including positions opened or closed, deposits, withdrawals, and resolution claims.
Usage and Interaction Data
We collect information about how you interact with the Platform: pages viewed, markets browsed, search queries, referral codes used, and session duration. This data helps us improve product quality and detect abuse.
Technical and Device Data
We automatically collect technical information when you visit the Platform, including IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, and referring URLs. IP addresses may be used to enforce geographic access restrictions.
Communications
If you contact us directly (for example, by email or through a support channel), we retain the contents of that correspondence, including any information you voluntarily provide.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Platform and its features
- Authenticate your wallet and maintain your session
- Process deposits, positions, and settlement payouts
- Enforce geographic and eligibility restrictions
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, market manipulation, and other prohibited conduct
- Comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations
- Respond to support requests and communications
- Analyse platform performance and user behaviour in aggregate
- Send operational notices relevant to your account or positions (where contact is possible)
We do not use your information for targeted advertising or sell it to third-party advertising networks.
Information Sharing
We do not sell or rent your information to third parties. We may disclose information in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: We engage trusted third-party vendors (infrastructure, analytics, security monitoring) who process data only on our behalf and under appropriate data processing agreements.
- Legal and regulatory requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or regulatory authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Platform, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all assets, information held by us may be transferred to the acquiring entity.
- On-chain disclosure: By nature, blockchain transactions are publicly visible. Your wallet address and any on-chain activity are accessible to anyone querying the relevant blockchain network.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Platform. Our use falls into the following categories:
- Strictly necessary: Session cookies required for wallet authentication and secure access. These cannot be disabled without preventing you from using the Platform.
- Functional: Cookies that remember your preferences such as language selection and display settings.
- Analytics: Aggregate, anonymised usage data collected to understand how the Platform is used and to identify areas for improvement. No personally identifiable information is passed to analytics providers.
You can configure your browser to refuse cookies. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent wallet sign-in from functioning correctly.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
On-chain data — wallet addresses, transaction records, and market positions — is recorded immutably on public blockchains and cannot be deleted by us or by you. Off-platform records associated with your wallet address are retained for a minimum of five years to satisfy applicable financial record-keeping requirements.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights with respect to information we hold about you:
- Access: Request a copy of the information we hold associated with your wallet address.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate off-chain records we hold about you.
- Deletion: Request deletion of off-chain data we hold, subject to legal retention obligations. Note that on-chain data cannot be deleted.
- Objection / restriction: Object to or request restriction of certain processing activities.
- Portability: Request a machine-readable export of data you have provided to us.
To exercise any of the above rights, please contact us at the address in Section 11. We will respond within 30 days.
Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These include encrypted transport (TLS), server-side session management, and access controls limiting data access to authorised personnel.
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to take steps to protect your own wallet credentials and private keys, as we have no ability to recover or restore access to wallets we do not control.
International Data Transfers
Predict.info operates globally. Information we collect may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home jurisdiction.
Where required by applicable law, we put in place appropriate safeguards for such transfers, including standard contractual clauses approved by relevant data protection authorities.
Children
The Platform is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us and we will take steps to delete that information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where reasonably practicable, provide notice through the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
We encourage you to review this Policy periodically to stay informed about our data practices.
